Below Deck chief steward Fraser Olender has teased yet more drama on board after Camille Lamb was sacked.

Captain Sandy Yawn gave the deck / stew her marching orders at the very end of last week’s episode, with the fall-out continuing in the upcoming instalment.

Throughout season 10, viewers have watched her struggle with her duties and tensions continued to simmer when she eventually joined the interior team full-time, constantly tussling with castmate Alissa Humber.

After their yelling became loud enough for guests to hear during one argument, it was decided that something needed to change.

Speaking about her exit in a new chat with Entertainment Tonight, Fraser said: ‘I always remember this season back as Camille not even being the drama.

‘There’s a lot to come. I’m a bit worried about it, but there’s a hell of a lot of coming our way, and if people thought Camille was a big deal, then they’ve got a whole a lot of surprises.’

‘I really love Camille as a person, but she just wasn’t helping, and we were going through such a huge transition of losing Captain Lee [Rosbach], and, you know, getting used to Captain Sandy’s management style, and there was a lot going on, not least because the boat is enormous,’ he reflected.

‘Truth be told, she was just making everything harder when it was just so unnecessary. So yeah, it’s a shame. But I’m glad I made that exact decision, and I’m glad that Captain Sandy sort of gave me the ultimatum to make that decision.’

After disappointing in the interior team throughout the season, Fraser initially wanted to give Camille another chance to impress him before settling on a decision.

This didn’t last long as he soon found her drinking champagne while preparing for a new group of guests – while the cabins she was meant to be working on weren’t up to standards.

‘Seeing Camille come out with a pint-size glass of champagne just goes to show there’s truly no care or willingness to do the job,’ he told the camera in last week’s episode.

‘If they can’t play a role in supporting the bigger picture then they have no role on the St David.’

He voiced his latest concerns to Captain Sandy, who agreed that something needed to be done about the interior crew.

‘To me, I’m tired of hearing about Camille,’ she announced. ‘She’s the common denominator in all of this.

‘Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what’s best for the boat.’

Below Deck season 10 airs on Mondays on Bravo in the US, with new episodes available to stream on hayu in the UK on the same day.
