1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton broke down in tears when discussing her relationship with alcohol and food with her therapist.

A new clip for the TLC series shows Tammy, 36, undergoing therapy to try and get approved for surgery.

This comes after a tense few episodes showing the aftermath of Tammy being rushed to hospital after she ‘quit breathing’ and ‘blacked out’.

The near fatal health scare left her family, including co-star and sister Amy, concerned for her life.

And in new scenes, Tammy opens up on how she was ‘close to dying’.

‘I got super depressed,’ she begins, saying: ‘I started partying, drinking, smoking’.

‘Almost anything can become an addiction, what is it that you got from food, or alcohol, or drugs, in the past?’ her therapist replies.

‘Nothing’, Tammy bluntly says, before struggling to go on.

‘I don’t want to talk about it’, she continues, shaking her head at the camera.

‘I really don’t want to talk about all that,’ she later tells the camera, when producers probe her on drinking.
