After a Paris Fashion Week of questionable outfit choices, Kylie Jenner dazzled in a mermaid John Paul Gaultier dress that just oozes class.
The makeup mogul turned up to designer John Paul Gaultier’s runway show on January 25 wearing one of his dresses, and she looked incredible.
The 25-year-old rocked the classy, hourglass gown which brought serious mermaid vibes with its pearl shell cups, and coral reef tones.
The dress has three parts; a pale blue shell neckline that sits upon a thick baby pink striped waistband, before the dress falls into an elegant, figure-hugging black skirt.
The youngest of the Kardashian sisters has created quite a storm at 2023’s Paris Fashion Week with some, er, questionable outfit choices.
Earlier in the week animal rights activists slammed Kylie for wearing a black dress which had a pretty realistic lion’s head protruding out its side.

For the Schiaparelli show, US designer Daniel Roseberry styled Kylie as he did some of his models in the shocking animal-themed dresses, with Naomi Campbell taking to the runway with a wolf’s head sticking out of her fur coat.
Mum of two Kylie wrote: ‘Thank you @danielroseberry and @schiaparelli for such a special morning. Wow I loved wearing this faux art creation constructed by hand using manmade materials. Beautiful beautiful.’
But Kylie faced some serious backlash, with animal rights activists on social media calling her out for ‘animal cruelty’.

Even Carrie Johnson, wife of the former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, called the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s choice of dress ‘grim,’ adding: ‘Real or fake this just promotes trophy hunting. Yuck.’
Meanwhile, animal rights charity Peta applauded the reality star for shining a light on the horrors of trophy hunting.
Activism or a faux pas, the look divided fans.

But the next day Kylie faced further criticism over a questionable necklace which resembled a noose.
While the lion’s head outfit was controversial, many people said this Givenchy necklace was worse, and pointed to the insensitivity of wearing it given the noose’s connection to suicide, as well as slavery.

With it, the star wore an electric blue dress and wild glittery pink boots, also from the fashion house, whose creative director Matthew M. Williams came under fire in 2022 when it debuted the necklace for the same reasons.
When asked by The Guardian for comment at the time, the French couture house said it ‘did not have an official response’.
