Rupert Grint has revealed how he mastered a Hollywood accent for is role in horror film A Knock At The Cabin.

The apocalyptic thriller, produced by M. Night Shyamalan, sees the Ron Weasley actor play Redmond, and had to face his fears of both apocalypses and intruders to take on the role, he revealed to This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

‘It was quite stressful!’ he joked.

Not only did the 34-year-old get to grips with the horror, but he also had to work on his accent.

Talking about working with an accent coach, he admitted ‘getting used’ to the American style, having previously attempted it for psychological horror film Servant.

He continued to Holly and Phil: ‘You have to be conscious of what you’re doing with your tongue in your mouth when you’re talking.

‘It’s very different.’

‘American people have a very different tongue shape in what they do with it, I don’t know!’ he added, as Holly and Phil chuckled over his choice of words.

Elsewhere, Rupert spoke about wanting to reprise his role as Ron, after rising to fame alongside Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe when they all starred in the first instalment of J. K. Rowling’s adaptations back in 2002.

‘Yeah, I think if the timing was right and everyone was kind of coming back, I would revisit,’ he said.

‘It’s a character that’s important to me and I grew up with him – we kind of became the same person!

‘I feel quite protective of him as well. It was my whole childhood.’
