While Love Island’s Kai Fagan might have been thinking he was giving an inspiring anecdote to Tanyel Revan, viewers couldn’t help but laugh at his story about the moon.
The science and PE teacher from Manchester became the object of three girl’s attention during the first episode and while people watching along at home were expecting he would be the centre of lots of drama, he so far appears to have settled with his partner Tanyel.
As Friday night’s episode began Kai, 25, was sharing a quiet moment with Tanyel, 26, where he started explaining how they could push through any feelings of homesickness.
‘The moon right ok, England is in time with this [South Africa] ok, or it’s out by about two hours right?,’ he started.
‘So, when you look at the moon it is dark in England as well and there is only one moon so when you look at the moon at night-time it is the same moon they will be seeing at home.
‘So, if you ever get sad and you miss your family or anything just look outside and know if they look outside at the exact same time they will look outside and see the same moon as you, just a different side.’

While Love Island viewers and Tanyel might not have been too captivated by Kai’s chat, here’s hoping he’s still happy looking out at the moon while thinking of his loved ones while in the villa.
Before starting the show Kai explained he was ‘single by choice’ and ‘looking for the right girl’ but warns he has ‘high expectations’ when it comes to looking for a partner.
