A long rumoured third The Crew game purportedly has a logo, supporting claims of a reveal happening within the next few months.

There was chatter of a third The Crew game being in the works at Ubisoft just last May, with it apparently starting out as DLC for The Crew 2 before ballooning into its own project.

More rumoured details have since been shared, such as it not being called The Crew 3 and potentially featuring ‘Motorfest’ in its name.

Amid newer claims that Ubisoft will announce the game in the coming months, a datamined logo appears to have confirmed its full title as The Crew Motorfest, and that it will offer an insider programme.

Assuming the logo is indeed real, presumably this means Ubisoft will allow players to register for a private playtest ahead of its full release.

The logo was shared by one ScriptLeaksR6 on Twitter who, judging by their profile, has a history of sharing Ubisoft related leaks, mostly pertaining to Rainbow Six Siege.

While they don’t say where or how they found this logo, it does match up with the initial reports by Insider Gaming, which claimed to have seen in-game pictures that frequently displayed a Motorfest logo.

Curiously, it doesn’t sound as if The Crew Motorfest has evolved into a full sequel, although that does make sense if it did start out as DLC.

It also wouldn’t be surprising if this turned out to be a free-to-play live service title, since Ubisoft has threatened to makes ones based on most of its major franchises.

Unlike the previous games, which featured open world environments that encompassed the entire United States of America, the new game is said to only take place on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu.

Insider Gaming adds that the game will feature a new engine and will release during Ubisoft’s 2024 fiscal year. So, that puts it somewhere from April to the end of March 2024.
