Selena Gomez has responded to fans’ concerns after appearing ‘unsteady’ in a new video.

The singer and Rare Beauty founder, 30, recently shared a make-up and skincare routine video with her 45.3million TikTok followers, giving them the lowdown on her favourite products.

However, as Selena applied the products to her face, people noticed that her hands were shaky, particularly when she tried to apply micellar water but missed her cotton pad.

The Only Murders in the Building star has now clarified that her shaking hands are a result of her lupus medication.

‘Lol I shake because of my medication for lupus,’ she commented on a now-deleted clip from another user.

Forever humble, Selena directed the fan to her original caption, insisting that she wasn’t an expert in skincare application, writing: ‘Also read my disclaimer. I ain’t no pro [laughing face emoji].’

PSA I got most of these products free. I ain’t just rolling like that everywhere. Use any serum to take off make up before washing. It breaks it up nicely. Also use a sponge to wipe eyes to treat eyes delicately when removing make up. K I’m done pretending I know what I’m taking about.

As down-to-earth as ever, she initially wrote underneath her video: ‘PSA I got most of these products free. I ain’t just rolling like that everywhere. Use any serum to take off make up before washing. It breaks it up nicely. Also use a sponge to wipe eyes to treat eyes delicately when removing make up. K I’m done pretending I know what I’m taking about.’

Selena has spoken at length about her lupus, which she was diagnosed with in 2014.

Lupus is an autoimmune disorder that occurs when the immune system attacks the body’s connective tissue, injuring, and in more severe cases, destroying vital organs such as the joints, kidneys, and heart.

As a result, it’s been known for those with lupus to experience weight fluctuations, as well as rashes, muscle pain, joint pain, swelling, and, in more serious cases, kidney failure.

Then, in 2017, the Love You Like A Love Song songstress underwent a kidney transplant due to complications from her condition.

On several occasions, Selena has also felt a need to speak out after gaining weight.

After walking the red carpet with her younger sister at the Golden Globes earlier this month, the American star was met with unnecessary comments about her body size.

Fortunately for Selena, she insists it’s all water off a duck’s back, and laughed off the trolling in a live-stream with nine-year-old Gracie Elliott Teefey.

Speaking in an Instagram Live alongside her little sis, she told her followers: ‘I’m a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays.’

‘Right?’, she asked Gracie.

The youngster appeared to agree, but all Selena could do was laugh.

‘But we don’t care,’ she added, bursting into a cackle.

Living with lupus is far from all rainbows and light for Selena, though, as she gave a warts-and-all account of her reality in her 2022 documentary, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.

‘In the morning when I wake up, I immediately start crying because it just hurts, like, everything,’ she said at one point, breaking down into tears.
