Reese Witherspoon pledged her allegiance to north London’s Arsenal as she admitted the football club were her family’s one to watch in the British Premier League.
The 46-year-old actress revealed she was a big fan of the Gooners – along with her two sons – and assured she never missed a match.
While promoting their new Netflix movie Your Place or Mine, Reese and Ashton Kutcher joined Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas on BBC’s The One Show via Zoom.
When asked whether either of the Hollywood icons would follow in Ryan Reynold’s footsteps and throw their hats into the UK’s football premiership, the Legally Blonde actress admitted she wouldn’t be opposed to the idea.
‘That’s our team’, Reese responded amid revelations she would invest in Arsenal if she ever decided to dip her toes in Europe’s sporting world.
Attention then turned to Ashton who shared he almost became an investor in a team he refused to reveal the name of.

The star said: ‘I’m a big United States soccer fan… but I do watch Premier League and I actually came very close to investing in a Premier League team in the last month.
His co-star Reese quickly jumped in to question why he didn’t follow through on the deal to which he counteracted: ‘If I own a football team I want to go watch the matches.

‘It’s like, “do I have time to fly back and forth every time?”’
The blonde beauty insisted they should travel to the UK as a group and take all their children to watch the sport together.
‘It’ll be the best time!’, she assured the Two and a Half Men star.
Later on in the programme, former Arsenal women’s player and captain Alex Scott couldn’t contain her excitement at the news Reese was her team’s biggest fan.
The acting duo co-starred in an upcoming rom-com that followed an unconventional house swap as Reese’s character visited New York to chase her dreams.
During a life-altering week, Ashton’s character plays dad to Reese’s son and house-sits for his on-screen best friend who lives in Los Angeles.
The One Show airs weekdays on BBC One from 7pm.
