Love Island has been hit with up nearly 200 complaints mainly due to the islander’s treatment towards Zara Lackenby-Brown.
During Friday’s episode, the cast played a controversial game of dares, which saw Zara’s former flame Tom Clare telling everyone he preferred Olivia’s face and Lana’s personality but like Zara’s body.
Australian newcomer Aaron Waters also said the 25-year-old was the most likely to talk about everyone behind their backs.
Fans called out the cast for ‘gaslighting’ and ‘isolating’ Zara, while some threatened to contact Ofcom.
In results published on Wednesday morning, the television watchdog has reported 197 complaints in relation to ‘alleged bullying and discriminatory treatment of Zara.’
Several fans expressed their frustration on social media earlier in the week, with one person writing: ‘I’m really not loving how the girls are all being with Zara, they’re just bullying her at this point it’s horrible please can someone step in and be friends with this girl?’
