Beyonce accidentally missed her big moment at the Grammys for the most relatable reason – as she was forced to contend with LA traffic.
Queen Bey is leading the way at this year’s ceremony, with a whopping nine nominations to her name.
Not only that, the 41-year-old could make Grammys history by becoming the most celebrated artist in history by coming out on top of just a few of those categories.
After scooping up the gong for best R&B song, for Cuff It, all eyes were on the stage for the first glimpse at the music icon on the night.
However, we were all left waiting as she never arrived, with Nile Rogers and The-Dream collecting the trophy in her place.
Host Trevor Noah blamed the reason for her absence on the notorious LA roads, insisting the Single Ladies star was on her way to the Crypto.com Arena.

‘Beyonce is on her way,’ he told the baffled audience. ‘The upside of hosting the Grammys in LA is that everyone can be here.
‘The downside of hosting the Grammys in LA is the traffic.
‘Beyonce is on her way.’

Trevor then revealed that she had managed to tie the record for most Grammys of any individual, meaning one more win would make history.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the update and flocked to Twitter to discuss the idea of Beyonce unable to part the cars of LA.
‘Girl is Beyonce really stuck in traffic or is she back at the house? #Grammy,’ one questioned.
Another replied: ‘Please let them telling us Beyonce is stuck in traffic is to throw us off from her surprise performance. Let the BEYHIVE eat #Grammys.’
‘Beyonce being late and being stuck in LA traffic… icon #Grammys,’ a follower commented.

As CBS anchor Brian Dorman penned: ‘Y’all, @Beyonce stuck in LA traffic on the way to the #GRAMMYs is the most relatable thing of 2023.’
Thankfully, she managed to take her seat shortly after – with Trevor handing her the trophy personally to her table.
The presenter recently made headlines when he teased big surprises on the stage – with many convinced that the Oscar-nominee would be performing at some point in the evening.

In an interview ahead of the ceremony, he said: ’I’m not allowed to say anything. But this is what I will say. One of your favorite performers is a woman, and that woman is going to be performing at the Grammys.
‘Then one of your other favorite performers is a man, and that man is going to be performing at the Grammys. You’re going, “Oh, but that could be anyone”.
‘But you know it’s not anyone because you’ve been listening to their album the whole year.’
