Tammy Slaton managed to prove the doubters wrong as she stepped on the scales to reveal her huge weight loss.

In previous scenes of 1000Lb Sisters, the 36-year-old broke down after learning that she was at her heaviest, at 717lbs, and getting further from her goal weight of 550lbs to undergo surgery.

In a new clip from the upcoming episode, she is ‘thrilled’ to realize that her incredible hard work at the food rehab center is paying off.

As she is told that she weighs 534lbs, and can now go under the knife, the camera pans across to her cheering family.

‘When I got on the scale and I saw the scale was at 534.7, I kind of stopped breathing for a second,’ she tells the camera.

‘I’m like 14lbs under my goal weight. From over 700, that’s a huge drop.

‘I did that! I’m feeling thrilled, proud, excited – just all the emotions.

‘I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got my told-you-so moment!’

Tammy made headlines last year when she was rushed to hospital, shortly after she arrived at a weight loss facility – in scenes that aired in the season three finale.

Concerned doctors told her loved ones that her body was ‘shutting down’, urging them to prepare for the worst outcome.

After she woke up and was able to recover enough to return to the rehab center, with the fourth series of the TLC program focusing on her recuperation.

Discussing her health in an interview with People Magazine, she explained that she had learned a lot since those tough scenes were filmed.

‘My near-death experience has taught me not to take life for granted,’ she said. ‘I now live my life how I want to and not how others want me to.

‘It has also mellowed me out. I try harder to not get mad as easily and try to figure out a way around the situation.
