Woman shares 2p hack to get stubborn make-up stains off your coat collar & people are stunned they haven’t thought of it

A WOMAN has revealed the 2p hack to banish stubborn foundation stains from your coat collar.

The cold weather means most of us are bundled up in coats which often leads to foundation stains along the collar.

But UK TikToker Olivia Rose Smith has revealed a cheap hack to make your coat look good as new again.

In the recent TikTok video, Olivia revealed she had tried all sorts to remove the stain – but there was only one thing that worked.

She said: “I feel like anyone who wears makeup and has a black puffer will feel my pain when it comes to this.

“I tried to get it off of, like, a wet cloth, and it hasn’t, but apparently this is the answer.”

She grabbed a pad of cotton wool and Garnier micellar water.

Olivia put the micellar water on the cotton wool and began to rub it along the foundation stains on one side of her coat collar.

And she was stunned when she realised it had actually worked.

She added: “I think that’s actually worked. I just need it to dry.”

She then came back once the collar had dried and there were no foundation stains in sight on the side she used micellar water.

“That has completely come off compared to that,” she said.

“You are welcome.”

You can buy a round of 100 cotton wool pads from Wilkos for just 75p and 400ml of Garnier micellar water for just £2.97 in Superdrug.

Meaning the super easy hack will cost you just 2p using one cotton wool pad and a splash of the make-up remover.

The video has since gone viral with over 120k views and over 4,000 likes.

People were stunned they hadn’t thought of using the make-up remover sooner.

One wrote: “I’ve tried so many things why have I never thought of this.”

Another person commented: “I’ve never needed to see a video so much in my life. Thank you.”

“OMG, I was wondering about a life hack for this yesterday! Thank you,” penned a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth revealed a nifty hack to stop foundation from staining your coat in the first place, writing: “If you also spray it with hairspray once it’s clean it should prevent makeup transferring onto the coat.”

“What an amazing tip! I’m literally going out today to get some! My black puffer is covered in foundation stains” wrote a fifth.
