Rihanna is making a big musical comeback at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, and fans are currently counting down the hours.

The What’s My Name hitmaker, 34, whose most recent album Anti dropped a whopping seven years ago, is set for her grand return during the Big Game as she ticks off another huge career milestone.

The mother of the Navy fandom will be delivering a 13-minute set highlighting her incredible run, with fans hoping to see her delve into all eras from 2005’s debut single Pon de Replay to material from 2016’s Anti.

This year’s match kicks off on Sunday [February 12] and will take place at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

But how can UK fans tune into the action? Here’s everything you need to know!

UK viewers are in luck as you’ll be able to watch the Super Bowl on UK TV channels.

In the US the match commences at 6.30 pm (ET), but due to the time difference, it will begin in the UK at 11.30 pm.

The programme will air from 10.45pm on ITV1 and ITVX. It will also be shown live via Sky Sports.

So get your popcorn at the ready!

The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm across the pond which means the halftime show will likely be somewhere around 8pm, so it looks like Rihanna is set to take to the stage at 12: 45am over here.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the performance, she explained that the offer came at the perfect time.

‘I’ve been so focused on the Super Bowl that I totally forgot my birthday is coming up, I forgot about Valentine’s Day,’ she told Nadeska. ‘I’m just like, “Super Bowl, Super Bowl, Super Bowl!”

‘We’re excited to do the Super Bowl. We’ve been working on it for a while and every day it gets closer to the finished product.

‘It feels like it could have only been now. When I first got the call to do it again this year, I was like: “Are you sure? I’m three months postpartum, should I be making major decisions like this right now? I might regret this.”

‘When you become a mom, there’s something that happens where you feel like you can take on the world, you can do anything. The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world so… As scary as that was, because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all.

‘It’s important for me to do this year, it’s important for representation. It’s important for my son to see that.’

As far as we’re aware Rihanna is the big name dominating the halftime show, however, it’s not uncommon for another musical guest to surprise the crowd.

Several of Rihanna’s biggest hits include a collaborator, from the likes of Drake, Shakira and Jay-Z, which is certainly reason to believe she won’t be alone on stage when she performs at halftime.

Fans have been petitioning for a Beyonce and Rihanna collab for years, and the Disturbia hitmaker recently revealed that she studied Beyonce’s iconic 2013 Super Bowl performance.

‘I watched Beyoncé’s Halftime performance a couple times, she’s a beast on a whole other level, so just to be inspired, really.’

The Super Bowl LVII airs tonight at 10:45pm at ITV and ITVX.
