The full WWE 2K23 roster has been revealed and it’s looking pretty stacked.

2K is looking to capitalise on last year’s entry into the franchise as they rebound and learn from the disappointments of 2K20, and this year’s Showcase focused on John Cena means the Ruthless Aggression Era features pretty heavily.

The roster was announced on Monday with a great mix of current huge names – GUNTHER, Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn and more – combined with legends of the past (Randy Savage, Roddy Piper, Bruno Sammartino) and rising stars like NXT’s Carmelo Hayes and Roxanne Perez.

And while some returning stars like Braun Strowman have made it back in, there are some omissions like Johnny Gargano and Bray Wyatt.

The latter is a big one for fans after his return at Extreme Rules in October, although it looks like there are more DLC packs to come with just one announced thus far, so let’s keep our fingers crossed.

As well as Bad Bunny as a pre-order bonus, the Ruthless Aggression pack contains some treats for old school fans.

As well as 2001 and 2002 versions of Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton respectively, fans will be able to play as The Prototype and Leviathan, which were early personas before John Cena and Batista became household names.

There are legends from further back too, with Andre The Giant, Bret Hart, British Bulldog and Chyna appearing on the roster list alongside the likes of Lita, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts and Ultimate Warrior.

In terms of newer names, it’s nice to see Solo Sikoa in to complete The Bloodline, while Elias makes it into the game alongside his twin brother Ezekiel, offering more proof that they are definitely totally different people.

We’ve included the full roster list below, while we also got a chance to get a hands-on look at WWE 2K23 recently, including the brand new WarGames match and the Cena Showcase.

There’s plenty to get excited about, and fans will be hoping for more DLC announcements to fill any gaps – while the deep Communities Creation system should also help out there.

WWE 2K23 will be released on March 17 for players on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
