Love Island viewers in stitches as Kai Fagan thinks he knows one of Casa Amor girls… but it wasn’t ‘Kim’ after all-Emily Bashforth-Entertainment – Metro

We’ve all had that awkward moment where we think we know someone but we don’t… unfortunately for Kai Fagan, his was aired on national TV.

The Love Island star, 24, had the cringe encounter with a Casa Amor girl, when she entered the villa to get to know the guys while the girls were away.

Kai was certain that it was someone called ‘Kim’, and was quick to call out to her as she approached… but her name couldn’t have been further from Kim.

Her actual name was Lydia Karakyriakou, but fortunately she didn’t catch on to Kai’s confusion, which was probably very lucky for him.

‘Nah, I think I know her, I think I know her…’ he said to the other lads upon clasping eyes on Glasgow’s Lydia.

‘Kim!’, he called to her, causing Lydia to look over.

‘Actually, I don’t know her,’ Kai admitted sheepishly when she didn’t respond.

‘She looks exactly like a girl I know.’

Chatting to the boys later on, he was quizzed: ‘I thought you knew someone?’

‘Bro, she looked exactly like this girl,’ he explained.

The others were then in disbelief upon learning that he actually called the other girl’s name out, walking off in hysterics.

Viewers at home, of course, picked up on the cringe-worthy moment, branding it ‘hilarious’ as they cried with laughter over the audacity of Kai actually shouting out a random girl’s name to a stranger.

One viewer tweeed: ‘kai screaming “kim” at some random girl has to be the best moment so far’.

‘Kim is watching love island confused’, joked another.

‘Kai shouting Kim at some random girl was so embarrassing’, cringed another.

And while it wasn’t immediately clear who on Earth ‘Kim’ is, the Twitter detectives quickly got to work – and actually managed to find her.

After doing some Instagram stalking, the account of Kim Schneider was found, and Kai follows her.

The brunette beauty, also from Manchester like Kai, does actually resemble Lydia… in some very small ways, but there’s no denying that Kai’s moment was totally awks.

‘NOT KAI CALLING SOMEONE KIM WHOS NOT CALLED KIM IM DYING’, one Twitter user joked.

‘you know what that ‘KIM’ moment has redeemed kai for me’, laughed another.

Although, Kai wasn’t the only one having a mare with names that day, as Olivia Hawkins – who he’s coupled up with – actually forgot his while in Casa Amor for all of five minutes!
