Piers Morgan weighed in on Dan Walker’s latest update following his road accident and well, his response could not have been more on-brand if he tried.
The 57-year-old took to Twitter to offer his comments underneath the broadcaster’s tweet in which he updated fans on his current condition.
Former BBC Breakfast host Dan, 45, was involved in a crash with a car while cycling his bike and has since admitted he feels ‘glad to be alive’.
Piers sent well-wishes to the TV presenter in the only way he knew how when he penned a back-handed ‘get well soon’ on the social network.
As a response to Dan’s tweet, the host of Piers Morgan Uncensored joked: ‘ Actually, a slight aesthetic improvement… glad you’re OK mate [sic]’.
The message came after the new Channel 5 presenter uploaded an image of his face covered in bloody scars as he smiled and offered his audience a thumbs up.

He captioned the post: ‘Blown away by all the lovely messages. Thank you.
‘Just got home from hospital. Battered and bruised but – amazingly – nothing broken.
‘Very thankful to still be here. I have no memory of anything and just remember coming round on the tarmac with paramedics & police around me [sic]’.
In a thread, the TV star then attached a photo of himself with medical staff, thanking them for their assistance, writing: ‘Thanks for all your kindness.
‘Jamie & Shaun were so great in the ambulance – not sure I was making much sense. Thanks to Conor the copper, Charlotte in x-ray & Hannah (below) for being so considerate & brilliant in such a busy A & E [sic]’.

Finally, Dan tweeted a gallery of his recovery that included snaps of his scars, his dog and his ripped trousers following his road accident.
Next to those pictures, he typed: ‘The helmet I was wearing saved my life today so – if you’re on a bike – get one on your head.
‘Smashed my watch & phone, ruined my trousers, my bike is a mess but I’m still here.
‘Currently eating soup through a straw and being looked after by this gorgeous, tired nurse [sic].’
