The Last of Us fans convinced key video game character Dina makes episode 6 cameo with Ellie-Sabrina Barr-Entertainment – Metro

While The Last of Us episode 6 centred on Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) finally meeting up with Joel’s brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna) at his settlement, another character caught the eye of several fans watching.
In one particular scene, a young girl is spotted watching Ellie while the latter is having some food, and while they don’t talk, they have a tense interaction.
Many fans suspect it could be Dina, a pivotal character from The Last of Us Part II video game, while Paolina van Kleef is credited as playing the role in the TV show.
Here’s what we know about her. Be warned of major video game spoilers and subsequently potential TV show spoilers further down.
Does Dina appear in The Last of Us episode 6?
It’s unclear whether Dina actually appears in The Last of Us episode six… but many fans seem to think she does.
In the latest instalment of the show, Joel and Ellie are welcomed into Tommy’s settlement in Jackson, Wyoming, where they meet his wife Maria and are fed by the community.
While sitting in the canteen eating their food, Ellie spots a girl staring at her from across the room, and confronts her aggressively for doing so.
To fans who aren’t familiar with The Last of Us Part II video game, they might have thought she was simply a random girl taking an interest in the strange teenager.
However, many people who’ve played the video game immediately thought it could be Dina, a character who makes her debut in the 2020 action-adventure game.
One fan wrote on Twitter: ‘Remember when Dina told Ellie she saw her stealing all the food when she first arrived in Jackson and now look at their first time seeing other’… so it looks like this moment might be connecting the dots to introduce Dina properly in season two.
The character in the TV show was played by Paolina van Kleef, who’s credited simply as ‘staring girl’ on IMDb.
Neil Druckmann, the creator of the game and co-showrunner of the TV adaptation, even shared a tweet revealing that ‘was that Dina’ was trending on Twitter, writing: ‘Ahahaha. Love, y’all!’
Who is Dina from The Last of Us video game?

In The Last of Us Part II video game, Dina is a member of the community living in Jackson, alongside Tommy and Maria.
Eventually, Dina and Ellie’s friendship turns into romance as they become girlfriends.
The second part of the video game franchise follows Ellie’s quest for revenge, after she witnesses Joel being beaten to death before her very eyes.
Dina joins her on that quest, and is the deuteragonist in the game, aka the second most important character of the story.
She’s portrayed by Shannon Woodward in the video game through voice acting and motion capture.
The Last of Us is available to watch on Sky and NOW, with new episodes released on Mondays.
