Ready for your latest tear-jerking romantic drama fix? You & Me will surely tick those boxes on ITVX.
Produced by It’s A Sin creator and returning Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies, the tale follows a group of young people in London whose lives interweave in raw, loving and at times tumultuous ways.
The TV show, written by actor Jamie Davis in his screenwriting debut, stars Harry Lawtey, Sophia Brown and Jessica Barden, and is sure to be one of the most powerful watches you’ve had of 2023 so far.
What is You & Me about?
If you’re prepared to have your heart broken and then mended back together, that’s exactly the impact you can expect from You & Me.
The series follows a young man called Ben (Harry), who has his life turned upside down when he meets Jess (Sophia).

While the pair find happiness with each other, tragedy strikes, as characters question how they can lead normal lives after everything that they’ve been through.
With the story flitting between different timelines, Ben also meets a young woman called Emma (Jessica), who has a painful past of her own.

Without giving too much away, buckle up for an emotionally hard-hitting tale filled with beautiful character connections, heart-wrenching dialogue and moments that will make you want to grip onto your loved ones as tightly as possible.
Speaking about the premise of the show, creator Jamie said: ‘You & Me is about a young guy called Ben (Harry Lawtey) who lives in London. In the first scene, he meets a young woman called Jess (Sophia Brown) and they fall in love, then an extraordinary thing happens in his life that changes everything.
‘We see Ben’s life across two timelines, the Now and the Then, and eventually the two timelines meet. We’re telling a love story in a way you’ve never seen a love story told before.’

Who is in the cast of You & Me?
Harry, who plays Ben, is best known for his role as Robert Spearing in Industry, while Jess actor Sophia recently starred in the prequel series The Witcher: Blood Origin as Éile.
Emma actor Jessica has appeared in productions including The Lobster, Hanna and Pink Skies Ahead, and earned a breakout star award at the IMDb awards in 2018.

Joining the trio in the cast include Julie Hesmondhalgh as Ben’s mum Linda, Andi Osho as Jess’s mum Pam, Janie Dee as Emma’s mum Hannah and Lily Newmark as Emma’s sister Joey.
When is it on ITVX?
You & Me launches on ITVX from Thursday February 23.
All three episodes of the mini-series will be available to watch straight away on the streaming platform.
Will it be shown on ITV?
It’s believed that when it launches, You & Me will only be available on ITVX.
