Iconic jazz musician Wayne Shorter has died aged 89.
His publicist, Alisse Kingsley, confirmed he had died at a hospital in Los Angeles.
There was no immediate information on the cause.
Shorter was a renowned composer whose career spanned half a century.
He is often hailed as a pioneer who shaped the sound of modern jazz.
