WWE star Sami Zayn was able to escape The Bloodline as Jey Uso’s allegiance remains unclear with WrestleMania 39 fast approaching.
SmackDown got underway with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns meeting face to face on screen for the first time just a few weeks before they meet in Hollywood for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
The Tribal Chief played up his own history with the American Nightmare’s late dad Dusty Rhodes, referencing their bond together in FCW to play mind games with Cody.
This was a great way to build intrigue for what has quickly become a very personal match, while as the show went on it became clear Sami Zayn is still in the spotlight.
But first, in a backstage segment Jey Uso delivered a message through Jimmy asking to be left alone, while Reigns insisted the latter will be held accountable if Jey doesn’t show up next week.
In the main event, Sami Zayn took on Solo Sikoa in a cracking match with plenty of drama, emotion and brilliant action until Jimmy got involved to help his brother to victory.

Solo and Jimmy went on the attack after the bell, but Sami was able to regain the advantage and stand tall at the end of the show.
Despite his Elimination Chamber heartbreak, the former Honorary Uce remains as beloved by the fans as ever heading into the biggest show of the year on April 1 and 2.
Dominik Mysterio attacks Rey, challengers line up for GUNTHER and more
In the first match of the night, Rhea Ripley earned a dominating win over Liv Morgan to build momentum as WrestleMania approaches.
The Judgment Day star, who will face Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title next month, looked strong against a former champion and picked up a decisive victory with the cloverleaf.
Backstage, Rhea and Dominik Mysterio exchanged some words with Santos Escobar, which helped set up our second match of the evening.

Weeks after the Legado del Fantasma leader received legend Rey Mysterio’s mask, he faced his son tonight with the mask on display in the corner.
This was a good showing for Ex-Con Dom, who looked the part and won after a combination of the brass knuckles, a Riptide by Rhea and then a Frog Splash to secure the win.
After the bell, Dom ripped his dad’s mask and while his iconic father did come out, he refused to hit his boy but that turned out to be a mistake as Dom laid him out and proved he’s willing to make things personal.

Drew McIntyre came out to call out GUNTHER as he targets an Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania, but the Ring General didn’t appear.
Instead, the Scottish Warrior’s long time friend Sheamus appeared and pleaded his own case for an IC Title shot on such a grand stage.
LA Knight, The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, and Karrion Kross all interrupted before things broke down into a brawl.

The latter ended up standing tall, with the IC Title picture proving difficult to predict heading into the biggest weekend of the year with plenty of talent gunning for gold.
In a video from earlier in the day, Tegan Nox attacked and injured Ronda Rousey, only to find herself in a match against Ronda’s pal Shayna Baszler.
This certainly made Baszler look legit, dominating the action until she made Nox submit.
Bobby Lashley made a rare SmackDown appearance looking for Bray Wyatt, but instead Uncle Howdy turned up and attacked the All Mighty from behind.
Lashley and Howdy started to brawl before the lights dropped out, only for the enigmatic figure to have disappeared when they turned back on again.
