Roman Kemp quickly apologised to viewers after Zachary Levi got a little too passionate when talking about his co-stars.

The Tangled actor, who starred in Shazam! in 2019, returns as the superhero, whose real name is Billy Batson, as he fights against Greek goddesses Hespera (Dame Helen Mirren) and Lucy Liu as Kalypso.

During Monday’s The One Show, Zachary and co-star Dame Helen spoke about the upcoming action film to presenters Alex Jones and the Capital FM host.

Speaking about his female co-stars, he said: ‘You add to the mix the incredibly beautiful, talented women: Helen Mirren and Lucy Lu and Rachel Zegler who are all the daughters of Atlas and they are p****d off.’

Roman, 30, quickly turned to address the viewers saying: ‘We would just like to apologise for any language that you may have heard a moment ago. Certain words mean different things on different sides of the world.’

Zachary, who was racking his brain over what was said, enthused: ‘What did we say. Oh my God I can’t wait to watch this on the internet.’

The Duke actress Dame Helen asked while gesturing to Zachary: ‘Was it me or him?’

However, Roman made light of the situation and pinned the slip-up on his co-star Alex.

Discussing her stunt work on The Graham Norton Show, Dame Helen hailed herself ‘incredibly brave’ for how she coped after breaking her finger while filming the sequel.

‘I did some of my own stunts, but I broke my finger.

‘I was incredibly brave and didn’t say anything or complain because I wanted to be a real ‘stunty’ person,’ she admitted while showing off the evidence of her injury.

Filmmaker James Gunn recently addressed the ‘uproarious and unkind’ backlash from some fans regarding all the changes rumoured and planned for the DC Extended Universe.

On behalf of himself and DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran, he tweeted: ‘One of the things Peter and I were aware of when we took the job as heads of DC Studios was a certain minority of people online that could be, well, uproarious and unkind, to say the least.’

The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
