Tom Parker’s widow Kelsey Parker has shared an emotional tribute to her late husband on her first birthday without him.

Parker, who was a member of The Wanted, died on March 30 last year aged 33 after a two-year battle with brain cancer.

The father-of-two was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an inoperable brain tumour, in October 2020.

Kelsey, who is mum to Tom’s two children – three-year-old Aurelia, and two-year-old Bodhi – has shared her journey candidly since the singer’s death, and even opened up about grief in the ITVBe documentary Kelsey Parker: Life After Tom.

In her most recent update, the 33-year-old has shared a heartbreaking tribute to Tom on what was her first birthday spent without him.

Taking to Instagram, Kelsey wrote: ‘A year ago Tom was about to go on tour for the final time (not that we knew that).

‘I was filled with hope but also knew the tour would be gruelling; it was something he needed to do and for him I’m so happy he got to do it one more time.

‘I didn’t think then that I’d be facing my first birthday without him. Another first. We’re almost done with firsts but I’m not sure that’s going to make any difference.

‘This isn’t what we planned or hoped for but it’s where we are and we’re going with it, enjoying all we can and living the life we have.’

Alongside her touching words, the businesswoman shared a black and white picture of her kissing Tom on the cheek.

This comes after Kelsey shared another photo of the pair together for Brain Tumour Awareness Month which happens every March in the UK.

In another ‘first’ since her husband’s passing, on Valentine’s Day Kelsey penned about how she was ‘angry, sad’ and ‘lonely’ Tom left this world.

She also offered some advice: ‘So this Valentines I guess my message is that if you’re lucky enough to spend it with someone you love, cherish it. Soak it up.
