I tried the viral cube dress that’s smaller than a tub of paracetamol – I expected nothing but the results surprised me
IT’S the £12.95 dress that’s been all over social media.
And after “stumbling upon” it in Muji, Madeleine decided to give it a go.
Madeleine nabbed the viral cube dress after seeing it in Muji and couldn’t believe how small it wasTikTok/@madeleine_white
She unwrapped the shrink-wrapped dress, although questioned what its intended use wasTikTok/@madeleine_white
She was pleasantly surprised when she put the dress on and it clung to her figure in all the right placesTikTok/@madeleine_white
She then styled it up, with a pair of black boots, jumper, cream coat, belt and black bagTikTok/@madeleine_white
She also showed this outfit, which she would wear if it was warmerTikTok/@madeleine_white
What’s so unusual about the dress is that it’s compressed into a tiny cube – but Madeleine captioned her TikTok video: “PSA do not soak it in water like one of those towels.”
“This is a dress,” she began.
“It’s literally so tiny – this is a teacup for scale.”
She also held up a tiny bottle of paracetamol to compare the size – with the dress even smaller.
‘This was on my FYP and when I was in Muji today I stumbled upon it,” she added.
Unwrapping the striped dress – made from Indian cotton – she said: “Okay, it’s a dress.
“I really don’t know what the intended purpose of this is, if it’s for an emergency in your purse?”
She then tried the dress on, and said: “It’s not even ugly. If I was in a bind I would wear this.
“Throw this in the beach bag?”
Madeleine then “styled her up”, beginning by adding a black belt around the waist.
She added black belts, black boots and a jumper over the top of the dress, topped off with a cream jacket and black bag.
She also tried the dress on with just a jumper worn over the shoulders, with the sleeves tucked into the belt, which she would wear “if it was warmer”.
“I might just buy another of these!” she concluded.
And the dress is currently reduced to just £6.45 on the Muji website.
“It’s actually so cute Omg,” one person commented on the video.
“You make everything look pretty!” another added
“This would be a great emergency outfit tho,” a third agreed.
While someone else wrote: “Gonna travel with these now save serious luggage space.”
