The biggest night in the showbiz calendar is finally among us, with celebrities out in full force for the 95th Academy Awards 2023.

Hosted by comedian and presenter Jimmy Kimmel, tonight’s star-studded event will see heavyweight nominees do battle at what is considered the pinnacle of awards season.

While we sit tight for the ceremony to get underway, our favourite A-List stars have started to descend on the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and my goodness we need their stylists and make-up artists immediately.

Florence Pugh, who is one of the many famous faces who will take to the stage for presenting duties, was a vision in Valentino.

The Don’t Worry Darling actress, 27, had all eyes on her in the dramatic gown, which also doubled up as a cape.

If that wasn’t enough, the fierce number featured a black mini dress with pockets, which Florence placed her into and looked effortlessly cool while posing for the cameras.

Elvis star Austin Butler appeared suave making his grand entrance in a smart black tuxedo with a black bow tie to match.

Irish actor Paul Mescal, who is competing for the best actor gong for coming-of-age drama Aftersun, waved at the cameras as he made his way down the carpet.

Dressed in a dapper white shirt and blazer, the 27-year-old completed his look with black flared trousers, giving Harry Styles a run for his money.

Elsewhere, Jamie Lee Curtis, who is up for the best supporting actress gong, shimmered in a glitzy nude-coloured dress.

Angela Bassett, 64, did the thing in an eye-popping purple gown and looked as though she could have been plucked from a Quality Streets tin.

The Black Panther star, who is among the nominees for best supporting actress, accessorised her show-stopping look with a bold silver choker.

The Whale star Brendan Fraser, who could be walking away with the best actor award, kept things smart in a classic black tux.

Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Banshees of Inisherin, and All Quiet on the Western Front are this year’s Academy Award frontrunners thanks to their bountiful nominations.

Colin Farrell, Butler, and Fraser are battling it out for the best actor award, alongside popular outside chances from Bill Nighy and Mescal.
