I’m a UK size 20 fashionista and I ordered loads of bits from ASOS – it was a total rollercoaster of emotions
A UK size 20 style fan has shared her honest thoughts on some ASOS garments – and it’s full of ups and downs.
Over the years, online fashion retailer ASOS has become the go-to for many who seek trendy garments, and one of those who wanted to see what the fuss was all about was TikTok user Amelia (@she.sea.swims).
Amelia decided to replenish her wardrobe with bits from ASOS – but sadly, a lot of it was a failTikTok/@she.sea.swims

The woman, who claimed to be a UK size 18 – 20, ordered some bits from the popular website and shared the results of the shopping haul on TikTok.
As well as nabbing some skincare bits, Amelia, who describes herself as a ”fat girl”, had purchased accessories and clothing.
The video was off to a good start, as the shopper was over the moon with a leopard print cross-body bag she had nabbed.
However, things then took a sharp turn, as Amelia tried on the two pairs of skirt she had decided to buy.
Posing with one of them – a silky maxi number in grey – the fashionista was mortified.
”This skirt… it’s a nightmare. I was looking at it like ‘What the hell?’.
”The material was really thin and rubbish.”
The same, unfortunately, was the case with the second skirt, which was a faux leather maxi.
”Basically, I really want a maxi skirt. But this also was horrible.”
Not having the best haul so far, Amelia then attempted to fit in new trousers she had added to the haul – however, she was not able to.

Another item the style enthusiast was not particularly thrilled about was a button-down maxi dress in light grey.
Despite how she tried to style it, it was not giving what she was after and she quickly described the number as ”rubbish”.
Luckily, the haul wasn’t a total disaster, as the last two garments – a T-shirt with mesh detailing and a sparkly top – had made it to the winner pile.
Looking back at the rather unsuccessful shopping experience, Amelia chuckled: ”I have too many clothes anyway, im not bitter [sic].”
Dozens of fellow fashion fanatics flocked to comments to share their thoughts.
”This is the most real try-on I’ve ever seen. Thanks!” a fan wrote.
”Agree asos has been so disappointing recently the quality and fit of stuff has gone right down,” a second added.
A third suggested: ”the only good maxi skirts i’ve found which i love, and are good quaility is second hand.”
”the sparkly top looks so nice!” a fan couldn’t get over the shiny number.
