‘It was probably the most stressful thing that’s ever happened to me.’
Sophia Grace Brownlee has introduced her baby boy to the world and hearts everywhere have melted.
The child star, now 19, announced in October last year that she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend, who prefers to stay out of the public eye.
Sophia – who rose to fame on The Ellen Show alongside cousin Rosie McClelland, now 16 – then shared on March 6 that she had given birth to a son, revealing that he arrived into the world on February 26.
The new mum has now returned to the internet to give her followers an update, showing her baby for the first time, but not yet telling fans his name.
While Sophia also doesn’t feel comfortable showing the newborn’s face for now, she did hold him up for the camera in her latest YouTube video – and he’s as cute and tiny as you’d imagine.
He also already boasts a very impressive head of hair!

She went on to detail her birth story, starting from the day she went into labour, up until she came home with her bubba.
Sophia explained that she actually went into labour on the evening she finished filming her previous vlog, after heading out for the day as normal with her dad.
That evening, she went into hospital and decided instantly that she wanted to have an epidural, hailing it ‘the best thing I’ve ever done’, due to the pain of her contractions.
She added that the process was ‘so scary’, convinced that she ‘couldn’t do it’ while it was happening, praising the midwives for their support.

Sophia described labour as ‘the worst pain I’ve ever felt’, like people ‘told her’ it was going to be.
‘It’s literally disgusting, it’s literally the worst pain ever,’ she shared.
Her son’s birth proceeded ‘very quickly’, although labour made her ‘very, very tired’, and she started to feel unwell, so she was taken to theatre for doctors to help with forceps, with possibility of C-section.
At this point, things were ‘really traumatic’, with Sophia saying: ‘I did have a really hard time. Looking back on it, it was probably the most stressful thing that’s ever happened to me.
‘I was terrified, obviously because it’s a big thing. I’ve never had surgery that major before and it was scary. And I wasn’t planning on having a C-section.

‘My boyfriend came in with me because he was my birth partner, so he did get to sit next to me the whole time, which made me feel a lot better.’
Ultimately, the star did have a C-section and, shortly after, she heard her baby cry for the first time.
‘And then I cried,’ she recalled. ‘Because I couldn’t believe that I had my own baby. It was just so surreal.
‘It was so weird. I finally got to see what he looked like after nine months of him being in my belly. It was the best thing ever.’

She didn’t get to hold her boy straight away as he was taken to be examined, before being taken to intensive care for his breathing to be monitored.
Thankfully, baby boy was all fine and she was soon able to cradle her little one, before spending the night on her own with him and breastfeeding.

‘Honestly, the whole experience was amazing,’ she concluded.
‘I got to meet my baby that I carried for a very, very long time and it was just like I imagined. It was just crazy.’
