Julianne Hough has been announced as the new host of Dancing With The Stars, replacing Tyra Banks.

The America’s Next Top Model icon confirmed her exit from the Disney + Competition last week, after three seasons in the role.

It has now been confirmed that former DWTS pro Julianne, 34, will be stepping into the supermodel’s shoes, alongside Alfonso Ribeiro – who co-presented last year’s series.

‘It is such an honor to be rejoining Dancing with the Stars as co-host,’ she said in a statement on Instagram. ‘The show holds such a special place in my heart from the many years and different roles I have had the privilege of being a part of.

‘The incredible team that brings the ballroom to life every night has been my family for the past 17 years. I am so excited to reunite with Alfonso, Carrie Ann, Bruno, Derek, the unbelievably talented pros, and the amazing cast on the dance floor.

‘The energy is magnetic every time you step foot in to the ballroom and I can’t wait to feel it again — and of course to share it all with the absolute best and most loyal fans — for another exciting season.’

Julianne is no stranger to the DWTS universe, having joined the program as a pro dancer in season four, which aired in 2007.

She was a huge fan favorite during her four-year tenure, taking home the crown in back-to-back seasons – with Apolo Anton Ohno and Hélio Castroneves, respectively.

After leaving the dancefloor, she served as a guest judge for several series, and also returned as a guest judge multiple times.

The news comes after Tyra quit the program last week, explaining that she would be taking time to focus on her business ventures.

She was originally named has presenter in 2020, replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews in the role, and was later joined by Alfonso as co-host for last year’s season 31, before stepping aside for good.

‘I feel it’s time for me to really focus on my business and my entrepreneurship, and also producing more TV, but behind the scenes,’ she told TMZ of the decision.

‘I think it’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor.’

‘I’m an entrepreneur at heart. … I think my heart, my soul, is into my business, it’s also into producing new TV, which we’re working on. We’ve got a new business show coming soon,’ the fashion icon added.

‘I really, really want to focus on my business, and you can’t do that hosting a show. So you’ll see me creating things, not just hosting things.

‘From the ballroom to the boardroom!’

Well, if anyone can do it…
