The cast of the critically acclaimed HBO show Succession were out in force in New York on Monday to mark the premiere of the fourth and final season.

But all eyes were on star Sarah Snook, best known for playing Shiv Roy in the series, who revealed she was expecting her first child on the carpet.

The 35-year-old actress showcased her bump in a chic, figure-hugging black dress layered beneath a show-stopping silver jacket and shared her excitement over becoming a mum for the first time.

‘It’s exciting! I feel great!’ she raved from the Big Apple.

The Australian star, who is married to comedian Dave Lawson, also opened up about her due date, revealing she ‘won’t have to wait much longer’.

She added to Entertainment Tonight: ‘Like two months? Well, I’m at 32 weeks.’

It comes after Sarah confessed she had no clue that the hit HBO drama would becoming to an end with season 4 until the final table read.

It was officially confirmed in February that Jesse Armstrong’s multi-award-winning show would be wrapped up with the upcoming instalment, which is set for release on March 26.

‘I was very upset,’ Sarah said upon learning that Succession would not be filming a fifth chapter.

‘I felt a huge sense of loss, disappointment, sadness. It would’ve been nice to know at the beginning of the season, but I also understand not being told until the end because there was still a potential that maybe this wasn’t going to be the end.’

Speaking to Los Angeles Times, she added: ‘Emotionally, all of us weren’t necessarily ready to be done with the show because we love each other so much.

‘But everything has to come to an end, and it’s smart not to let something become a parody of itself.’
