“Is this too white for an outdoor wedding in April? thanks in advance!” she wrote.
People were quick to weigh in, with many insisting that the dress featured too much white to wear as a wedding guest.
“Too white,” one said.
“Avoid anything that has a white base colour, or close off-whites like cream, champagne, blush, etc.
“Depending on your complexion, find a tulip (the flower) colour such as yellow, orange, or purple for an April wedding.
“Mauve or navy blue would also look nice.”
“I’m putting a vote down for no,” another added.
“The pattern has a white background, but the flowers are quite dark and large.”
“This is a lovely dress but I’d say this is definitely too white,” a third commented.
While someone else wrote: “Way too white. Pick a dress with no white and not near white in the palette and you’ll be safe.”
But others insisted that she would be fine to wear the dress.
“I personally think it’s fine,” one wrote.
“Nobody is mistaking you for the bride if you wear this. People here are so picky sometimes. “
“I think it’s completely fine,” another added.
“The flowers are large and colourful. I wouldn’t even describe this as a white dress.
“It’s a pink multi-floral dress.”
“No one is mistaking this for a wedding dress, but if you’re unsure, ask the bride,” a third commented.
“Also, you can pair it with a pink shawl – that’ll further pull it away from white and help if it’s chilly.”
