WWE star Rhea Ripley would love to have Vickie Guerrero on board amid her and Dominik Mysterio’s issue with legend Rey.

The new SmackDown Women’s Champion was a big fan of the ‘annoyingly amazing’ personality – who was married to the late, great Eddie Guerrero for 15 years until his death in 2005 – and given news Vickie will be leaving All Elite Wrestling (AEW) this summer, it opens up an intriguing possibility.

Speaking the day before WrestleMania when Rey beat Dom and Rhea claimed the title, she exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘I would love to. Watching Vicki Guerrero growing up, I always thought she was annoyingly amazing.

‘The whole “Excuse me!” thing, it used to aggravate everyone in my family because I would have the volume up all the way, and my mum was like, “Will you just turn it don’t please?”

‘I would love if she could be a part of the storyline at some point, I think that would be absolutely incredible and add a different layer to it as well.’

It remains to be seen what will happen next in the father/son rivalry between Rey and Dom after the former got an emotional win on Saturday night after paying tribute to Eddie with an epic entrance, although Vickie has made it clear she’d be keen to get involved if the opportunity came up.

Meanwhile, Rhea also opened up on the way being part of Judgment Day and remaining onscreen even during an injury layoff for a while last year helped her mentally at a time where she needed a ‘good distraction’.

She said: ‘It definitely helped mentally, ’cause having time off when you’re in such a busy schedule all the time, it is very weird.

”You start questioning a lot of things, so being a part of the Judgment Day, and going out there and still supporting my boys, doing promos and all that, just being in front of the camera, still on the road – it was a good distraction.

‘And it was a learning period for me, where I I learnt to do all these other things as well. I think that’s where the Rhea Ripley character grew the most as well.’

‘It definitely makes my life a lot easier, a hundred percent. That support coming from someone that understands the grind and everything. It’s very helpful.’

WrestleMania continues tonight (April 2) at 1am via the WWE Network.
