Shoppers are racing to Sainsburys as they spot dupes for pricey sports brands including New balance, Nike and Converse

SHOPPERS have spotted trainer dupes for New Balance, Nike and Converse in Sainsbury’s but it seems not everyone is impressed.

Dad of three Loz Cabrelli shared the dupes in a TikTok video online.

But the football fan thought the Sainsburys dupes were a joke.

He said: “Sainsbury’s can f**k right off.”

The supermarket’s Stone Retro Chunky trainers are similar to the New Balance £95 unisex trainers, but the Sainsbury version is only £18.

Loz referred to the dupes as ‘No Balance’

But it seems shoppers disagreed as the pair quickly sold out only and are only available in some stores.

The brand has also got their over version of Nike trainers, their Purple & Pink Water Resistant Trainers which are £25.

The trainers closely resemble Nike’s React Infinity three women’s road running shoes, which will set you back a whopping £152.95.

Despite the Loz calling them ‘Shike’ they must be very popular as there are only six sizes left and most of them are low in stock.

Loz also spotted converse dupes.

Tu’s White Faux Leather Lace Up Trainers are £18, £27 cheaper than the Chuck Taylor All Star Classic, which is £55.

Loz called them ‘Non verse.’

Dad of three Loz did not seem impressed but the Sainbury’s trainers as he commented: “And they’re getting away with it.”

Loz’s video gained over 126,000 views.

But the dad was slammed for his comedic commentary.

Many users pointed out that with the rising cost of living not everyone could afford to but the pricey originals.

One user said: “Some poor people can’t afford top brands so least THEIR kids arn’t shoeless.”

Another said: “If they comfy and keep my feet dry I don’t care if they don’t have a name on them I’m too old to care anymore.”

A third viewer said: “I’ll wear nonverse so my kids can wear converse.”
