Two contestants on brand new survival show Naked, Alone and Racing to Get Home have opened up on what the experience was really like, and how awkward it was to strip down completely naked with a stranger and trek across the country.
Lily and Jenny take part in two teams as the amateur survivalists are stripped of all their clothing and belongings and released into the gruelling British wilderness.
With no phones, money or clothes, they have to race each other over three days and forage food and shelter, as well as find materials to keep warm.
At the end of it all, is a cash prize, but it’ll take a lot of hard work and maybe even the survival of strangers to help them get there.
Talking about the once-in-a-lifetime experience on Thursday’s Lorraine, Lily said: ‘It was actually one of my friends that had applied and she said, “I think you would be a really good person to do it with,” and it was such a bizarre request, such a random challenge, something I didn’t think I’d be doing at 40, getting my kit off on telly and doing a survival challenge.
‘When an opportunity like that drops on your lap, you have got to say yes.’

Lily, who has previously tried her hand at boxing matches, marathons and the Three Peaks challenge, admitted she has ‘no regrets’ over her choice, despite not doing the challenge with her friend and ending up with a ‘stranger’ called Liam.
‘It wasn’t the plan,’ she said, sharing that her friend was no longer able to take part when she had a baby, which left her feeling pretty ‘awkward’ when she was dropped in a field with a stranger with no clothes on.
She continued: ‘The naked element very quickly goes out the window, it’s awkward the first time you de-gown, and then you’re just cold and looking for shelter.’

Adding to the experience, Jenny, who undertook the survival series with her partner, spoke about how she never actually thought they would go through with it, and the tension it left between them.
‘It was something we did agree on, I didn’t expect to feel the pressure I did once he had gone off [in another direction during the challenge],’ Jenny said.

Talking about having to walk through a town completely naked, she added: ‘I just didn’t care, I wanted to go home, I would have done anything by that point’.
However, despite any tiffs while they battled nature, Jenny ended up engaged to her partner after he went down on one knee and proposed during the challenge.
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV1.
Naked, Alone and Racing to Get Home airs tonight at 9pm on E4.
