I took my husband to the £1 charity shop – we found £2 trainers & a vintage football top & he was stunned

A CHARITY shop fan has proven there’s no need to spend big bucks to get branded items.

Francesca – known as Francescacharityshop on TikTok – convinced her husband to go bargain hunting with her at a massive Barnado’s charity shop in Ashton, and he was stunned by his finds.

Taking to social media, Francesca revealed: “I think my husband low key loved it at the charity shop. What do you think?”

In the clip, Francesca is seen walking towards the Barnado’s charity shop while holding her little girl’s hand.

Text reads: “I took my husband to the £1 charity shop. Here’s what happened.”

Inside the shop, viewers can see baby cots, stacks of books and games and rails full of second hand clothes.

Francesca’s husband walks into the frame clutching two pairs of shoes.

He found two pairs of Nike trainers for £3 and played with a hula hoop in the middle of the store.

His best spot was a vintage Burnley football top in burgundy – showing off the strip, Francesca’s husband looks chuffed.

Back in the shoe section, the charity shop newbie picked up a pair of Nike Air Force trainers. The white shoes were covered in mud, but a little clean would make them look like new.

Finally, he picks up a joke purchase – a little golden trophy.

Francesca asks her followers: “How did he do?”

Almost 500 people shared their views in the comments.

One user replied: “Charity shops get a bad rep but some are elite.”

Noting the dirty white trainers, a second commented: “Those trainers are great for someone who doesn’t have much. Take them home and clean them up.”

Francesca agreed: “Exactly. We bought them, cleaned them up and now my son can play out in them (rather than destroy his expensive ones).”

Spotting the Burnley football shirt, another user said: “OMG my dad would love that Burnley top.”

Francesca responded: “Your dad’s got good taste.”

But there’s no use in driving up to Ashton for the shirt – Francesca has already snapped it up.

The mum says this Barnardo’s shop is a proper jumble sale and while it can be tricky to find what you’re looking for, there are bargains to be found.

“Everything is everywhere… but there are bargains,” she revealed.
