The latest episode of the family drama saw a major character killed off, and while fans hailed it ‘inevitable,’ others were surprised by how emotional they got.
In the third chapter titled Conor’s Wedding, fans saw Connor (Alan Ruck) and Willa (Justine Lupe) tie the knot, however, the Roy siblings receive startling news that their father and business titan Logan Roy (Brian Cox) is seriously ill.
As the hour unfolds, Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) relays as much as he can to Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook), and Roman (Kieran Culkin) while they’re stuck on the boat that’s supposed to take them to the wedding.
Ahead of his planned trip to Sweden to finalize Waystar’s planned sale to GoJo, which is owned by Lukas (Alexander Skarsgård), Logan unexpectedly died aboard his private jet.
With everything thrown into chaos, the siblings decided how they would announce Logan’s passing, and Gerri (J. Smith-Cameron) tried to figure out the state of her position within the company.

While viewers were rejoicing over Logan – who displayed narcissistic and at times volatile tendencies – some were taken aback by the ‘brutal’ scenes displayed by the siblings.
‘Never imagined in a billion years i would be crying over logan’s death,’ one person wrote.
‘Trying to enjoy Logan’s death but instead coping with complete emotional devastation at the hands of the Roy siblings,’ another added.
Following the action-packed episode, attentive fans turned their attention back to the season four promo which depicts the Roy family standing on a skyscraper balcony overlooking the New York City skyline.
However, the plane flying through the clouds in the corner served as a massive clue on Logan’s final outing.

While we don’t know for sure what the plane symbolises, it did reveal where Logan would die right under our noses this entire time!
