One Direction ‘to reunite in full for first time in 8 years’ as James Corden bows out of Late Late Show – and fans are losing their minds-Emily Bashforth-Entertainment – Metro

It’s been eight years since we saw all of One Direction together – but that could be about to change.

According to reports, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne are set to reunite to mark James Corden’s final Late Late Show.

Oh, and Zayn Malik might be joining them.

As you can imagine, fans are losing their minds big time!

The Drag Me Down singers appeared on the late-night US show a few times while they were together, ahead of going in different directions in 2015.

Since, they’ve all sat on James’ sofa a few times as solo artists, whether it be for interviews, performances, hilarious sketches or the fan favourite Carpool Karaoke.

And with the 44-year-old host bowing out on April 27, it’s rumoured that 1D will be on hand to wave him off.

Like a lot of celeb gossip these days, rumours first started circulating on gossip outlet DeuxMoi, who claimed 1D would be guests on James’ show this week.

In true Directioner style, fans have been joining the dots and trying to figure out the logistics.

It appears that the group all have a free schedule during that time, especially after Louis cancelling the Asia leg of his tour due to ‘unforseen circumstances’, meaning it’s highly possible they’ll be treating fans to a mini reunion, right?

Meanwhile, Harry doesn’t resume his Love On Tour shows until May and Niall doesn’t have any scheduled performances until late May either.

As for Liam, his only known upcoming appearance is Soccer Aid in June.

Zayn, who recently returned to social media, also doesn’t have any gigs or international appearances lined up.

If the Bradford-born singer does join his former bandmates for the reunion, it’d be the first time we saw them all in the same room since his bitter departure from the pop group.

Taking to Twitter to express their excitement over the rumours, One Direction fans went into meltdown.

‘one direction on late late show may actually complete my life’, one person tweeted.

‘if james corden can reunite one direction on his late late show i will go absolutely feral in fact the whole fandom of OG 1D times. the world would stay still. and then the amount of millions of tik toks it will be insane. i will get the date tattooed if it happens istg’, another tweeted.

Harry, Niall, Louis, Liam, and Zayn would be joining a very starry guest list, which James recently announced ahead of his final string of shows.

Famous faces set to appear include Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Josh Gad, Jennifer Garner, Brett Goldstein, Kate Hudson, Mila Kunis, Seth Meyers, Billy Porter and Sharon Stone.

Allison Janney – who has appeared as a guest on the show more than anyone else – will maintain her record when she makes her 15th appearance.

The Kardashian family, who have each appeared separately during the duration of the show, will also participate in a Take a Break segment.

Tom Cruise will join James for a previously announced sketch, which will see them hitting the stage for an epic musical performance during The Lion King at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.

Ahead of the final episode, the hugely popular Carpool Karaoke segment will be celebrated with a one-hour primetime special, The Last Last Late Show with James Corden Carpool Karaoke Special at 10 pm EST, which will be followed by the final episode of the show.

K-Pop supergroup BLACKPINK is confirmed to appear, while photos released in recent days also show the host filming in a car with Adele.

Honestly, it’s all kicking off and we can’t wait.
