Towie star Georgia Kousoulou has shared a heartbreaking update with fans, announcing she has miscarried her pregnancy.

The reality TV star, 31, shared a statement with her followers ahead of undergoing surgery.

‘Our 12 week scan to be told our baby had not survived & I needed an op… ’, she began, alongside a picture from her hospital bed.

Georgia went on: ’12 weeks of feeling every emotion , hoping & praying but in the end , nothing else we could of done .

‘We don’t really have the words to say right now except we are lucky to have amazing family & friends around us .. & most importantly we are blessed to have our beautiful brody who we couldn’t of got through this without him.

‘We will have the words soon but right now we are taking time for us as a family ’

The stars were met with messages of love and condolences in the comments, with Vicky Pattison writing: ‘Georgia I’m so sorry mate… sending you so much love x’

‘I’m so sorry angel sending you all lots of love ’, wrote Holly Hagan.

Ferne McCann wrote: ‘Oh darling this is really sad sending love ’

‘Sending so much love to you all’, Jess Wright added, while Danielle Armstrong commented: ‘ love you bubs’
