I’m A Celebrity is back on Monday April 24 – but not as we know it.
While the ITV show is usually filmed in Australia with an 11-hour time difference, this time it’s all happening in South Africa’s wild Kruger National Park.
Packed with wildlife – and now a whole line up of celebs – the series will see the classic creepy-crawly ‘bushtucker’ trials, but they will be set in the Southern African wilds.
Word on the street – I mean in the bush – is that this series is apparently set to be the most ‘brutal’ ever.
While we’re sure the cast won’t have to endure a cage fight with a lion in 2023, there’s sure to be some pretty testing tasks in store.

The likes of Shaun Ryder, Carol Vorderman, Paul Burrell and Amir Khan will all star in this special edition of Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s beloved reality show.
Here are all your questions answered.
Is I’m A Celebrity South Africa live?
No, it is not live. This year, rather than viewers seeing he drama unfold in real-time, all the action was pre-recorded last year.
It’s not clear why the format differs this time around, and nor has it been revealed how contestants will get knocked out of the competition without the live vote.

When was it filmed?
I’m A Celebrity South Africa was filmed in summer last year.
The series is set to last around three weeks, airing every night at 9pm.
Where was it filmed?
The series was filmed in the Kruger National Park in South Africa, famed for its huge density of wildlife.
Population numbers of the ‘big five’ – that’s lion, buffalo, leopard, rhino, and elephant – are particularly dense.
International versions of I’m A Celebrity have also been filmed here.
