Woman claims she’s found the perfect wedding guest dress but nobody agrees… others are even warning NOT to wear it

A WOMAN has raised eyebrows over what she claimed to be the perfect dress to wear as a wedding guest.

Isla Pedley’s suggestion even pushed people to warn others against purchasing the dress.

But everyone had the exact same issue with the frockTikTok/islaapedleyy

Critics of the frock said that it was bordering on inappropriate for someone else’s special day… because it was white.

Arriving in white to someone else’s nuptials has always been deemed bad form.

Isla said in a video promoting the dress on TikTok: “Oh my God, for all you girls looking for a wedding guest outfit.

“Just wait to see what I have just found.”

The maxi dress had a tiered mesh skirt and lattice-style band around the waist.

Despite its elegant look, people agreed it was far too similar to a wedding dress to be worn as a guest.

One critic questioned: “Wedding GUEST?

“In white?”

Another stated: “That is literally a wedding dress.”

A third said: “Please don’t wear this to anyone’s wedding unless they specifically ask guests to wear white.”

Isla defended that the dress comes in multiple colours, but people couldn’t look past the white version she had suggested.

Some said the dress would be perfect for a bride herself rather than her guests.

One bride-to-be even joked: “As a bride, where is it from?”

According to experts at wedding bible The Knot: “Wearing white to a wedding should be avoided at all costs.”

Wedding dress designer Madeline Gardner added: “When you’re a guest at a wedding, the most important thing to keep in mind is not to upstage or upset the bride.

“It’s safe to stay away from any outfits that are predominantly white, cream or ivory.”

White is a controversial colour to wear at weddings because the bride’s dress is meant to stand out the most.

A rule of thumb to follow is that if you’re worried about your guest dress being too white, it probably is.

One bride was recently left devastated after not one, but TWO guests wore white to her wedding.
