Katy Perry and Lionel Richie have been spotted arriving at Westminster Abbey for the coronation of King Charles III before they perform at the concert tomorrow.

The King’s coronation concert will take place on the grounds of Windsor Castle on Sunday, with the American performers part of the historic line-up.

Ahead of the event, the pair are some of the 2000 guests attending the coronation today.

On Saturday morning, Lionel, 73, was spotted taking selfies with fans as he entered the abbey.

Meanwhile his American Idol co-judge Katy, 38, was seen in the crowd wearing a pastel pink outfit, complete with a layered pearl necklace and a hat that matched her outfit’s colour scheme.

She was later seen taking her seat inside, with a closer look at her outfit showing off her huge hat, as well as her necklace, which looked like a planet topped off with a cross in a subtle nod to the event.

Earlier today Lionel posted a series of photos of him getting ready for the event, including of his suit and embroidered cufflink details which had his initials sewn on.

On Thursday the performer met the King and Queen Consort at a garden party at Buckingham Palace which saw 8000 people in attendance.

Speaking to reporters, Lionel said it was a ‘once-in-a-lifetime opportunity’ to take part.
