Darby Allin is no stranger to death defying stunts, and now he’s revealed his next big goal.

The All Elite Wrestling star, who has teamed up with the Jackass crew on various stunts in the past, has now set his sights on becoming the first ever professional wrestler to climb Mount Everest.

At 29,035 feet above sea level, Everest – which is located in Nepal and Tibet – is one of the world’s most challenging and unforgiving mountains, with hundreds of people dying in an attempt to ascend to the summit.

Around 4,000 have successfully reached the top, and now the 30-year-old wrestler wants to add his name to the list.

‘That’s been my whole MO since AEW started. That’s why it’s so important for me to meet up with guys like [X Games gold medalist Travis Pastrana], and make stuff happen. Do stuff that no wrestler’s ever done before,’ he told TMZ Sports.

‘The thing I’m going to be doing next year that no wrestler’s done before is climb Mount Everest. You heard it here first.’

He is always looking for his ‘next rush’, and his thrillseeking stunts in the wrestling ring can’t hold a candle to is antics outside it.

Last summer, Darby – with the help of Pastrana – landed a ridiculous 96 foot jump over his home in a jeep, despite being told beforehand that there was a good chance he’d end up with a broken back.

At the time, the wrestling star hailed the stunt as his ‘sketchiest’ to date, and then a few months later he slipped and fell off a 92 foot-high waterfall in another stunt.

Posting the video on Twitter, he simply wrote: ‘Slip and fall off a 92 foot waterfall.’

Darby grew up a huge fan of Jackass – who have their own history with wrestling – and AEW gives him a chance to combine his passions, including his love for skateboarding.

‘All the years of falling off a skateboard on concrete got me ready because that ring [is nothing] compared to concrete,’ he exclusively told Metro.co.uk.

He explained: ‘What’s scary to somebody else is a walk in the park for me. My tolerance for fear is very, very, very high.’
