Monica Sirianni, best known for appearing on Italian Big Brother, has reportedly died aged 37.

Monica is said to have collapsed at a bar after falling ill on Friday night while out with friends in Sauveria Mannelli.

According to Italy 24, Monica died late on Friday evening with local outlets first reporting on the incident. 

Local outlets say that Monica’s friends raised the alarm after she suddenly fell ill and the former reality star was immediately taken to hospital. 

Investigations into her death are underway. 

Monica appeared on Italy’s Big Brother between 2011 and 2012 when the show was fronted by Alessia Marcuzzi and Alfonso Signorini.

She was just 25 during her stint on the world-famous reality series and previously worked as an English teacher, a profession she returned to after the show.

While on the show, Monica famously struck up a romance with Fabrizio Conti and even left her boyfriend for him.

Sadly, Monica – who stayed in Italy after her parents moved to Australia – and Fabrizio’s romance didn’t last long. 

Naples outlet Napolike reports that attempts to resussiciate Monica were made at the bar, but were uncesssful. 

Napolike also states that an autopsy took place over the weekend.
