The View fans were left dumbfounded in Manchester last night when the lead singer punched his bandmate and threatened to ‘f***ing kill’ him mid-concert.

Playing in their sold-out show at the Deaf Institute, things got more than a little heated on stage when vocalist Kyle Falconer attacked bass player Kieren Webster.

The 35-year-old singer threw a punch at his bandmate and shouted ‘I’m going to f***ing kill you’ in what was a truly shocking outburst.

A fan in attendance posted the video on Twitter and explained how they failed to complete the second half of last night’s gig after what was a very dramatic moment.

In the video, some of The View’s team can be seen getting in the middle of the brawling bandmates and trying to subdue the drama.

But that didn’t exactly work out, as the indie fan showed another video of Kyle returning to stage as he told the audience: ‘Sorry, if you want Kieren [Webster] can come and finish the set.

‘The problem with this band is that he wants to sing the songs and he can’t.’

Third member and guitarist Peter Reilly didn’t appear to be involved in the spat.

Alongside the video of the bust up, the fan wrote: ‘When you’ve waited for the comeback gig for years and then halfway through the lead singer batters the bassist! Rock N Roll.’

One person wrote, ‘Embarrassing’, while another asked: ‘What brought that on?!’

Today The View made an announcement that tonight’s London show is postponed.

Taking to Twitter, they wrote: ‘Unfortunately we are having to postpone tonight’s London show. Our promoter is working to resolve the situation.

‘Please keep hold of your tickets for now and we will make a further announcement in a few days. Massive apologies to all our fans.’

The band are due to perform throughout the UK in their upcoming tour in November.

In 2017, The View announced that they were going on what Kyle called ‘just a wee break’, and while they’ve performed a few gigs last year in Glasgow, this was set to be their big comeback year with their tour kicking off in November.

Metro.co.uk has contacted The View’s representatives for comment.
