Jamie Foxx’s daughter has shared a heartwarming update over his health, weeks after he was rushed to hospital.

The Django Unchained actor sparked concern last month when he was taken in for treatment, following a ‘medical emergency’.

Hollywood rallied around to support the 55-year-old, who later spoke out on Instagram to thank everyone for all the love he had received.

Taking to Instagram, Corrine Foxx spoke out against reports that the family were ‘preparing for the worst’, and revealed that he was actually recuperating at home.

‘Update from the family: ‘Sad to see how the media runs wild,’ she wrote on her Instagram story.

‘My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!

‘Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!’

The reason for Jamie’s treatment has not yet been made clear.

The Oscar-winner had been filming for his upcoming Netflix film, Back In Action, in Atlanta just days before he was hospitalized in April after a ‘medical complication’.

‘From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,’ she said at the time.

‘Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.

‘The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.’
