Stacey Solomon will no longer be appearing on Bake Off: The Professionals, with hosting duties to be taken over by Ellie Taylor.

The TV presenter, 33, had hosted the seventh season of the spin-off series of the beloved baking competition.

Originally screened on BBC, the show moved to Channel 4 in its third season back in 2018.

Since its inception its been hosted by five presenters – first Tom Kerridge, followed by Angus Deayton, Tom Allen and Liam Charles before Stacey joined in 2022.

However, on Friday it was announced that she wouldn’t be returning, with the role to be taken over by comedian and Ted Lasso actress Ellie, who also appeared on the most recent season of Strictly Come Dancing.

‘From Ted Lasso to tiramisu – we’re delighted to welcome Ellie Taylor as our new co-host on Bake Off: The Professionals alongside Liam Charles,’ a post on the Great British Bake Off Twitter account read.

While The Great British Bake Off sees amateur pastry chefs compete, this competition features teams of professional pastry chefs pitted against one another.
