I tried on the viral gold jeans from Zara but it was a fail – they made me flat as a pancake… I’m going to need therapy

A SLIM fashionista has insisted she will need therapy after the viral gold jeans from Zara gave her a pancake booty.

It’s the pair of bottoms that’s taken social media by storm – the golden effect jeans sold by the high-street giant, Zara.

Cristina was in for an unpleasant surprise when she tried on the jeansTiktok/@cristinaion_

The boy mid-waist jeans, which retail for £49.99, have become all the rage online, and one of those who forked out for a pair was style lover Cristina Ion (@cristinaion_).

Despite the hefty price tag, there has been quite the backlash from customers who’ve insisted the trousers were too long even for someone at 5’10”.

Another problematic issue, as Cristina would soon see for herself, was that the tight bottoms were not particularly flattering on the butt.

At first, however, the lover of fashion appeared to be optimistic – after all, she had been working out.

”I’m pretty hopeful about these because I sized up in them and I got a couple of different sizes,” she added in the video.

”I’ve been going to the gym for a full week now, so don’t be shocked, don’t be alarmed if I turn around and there’s a whole juicy BBL, Kim Kardashian butt back there.”

Unfortunately for Cristina, believed to be from the US, the reality was slightly different – and the initial excitement instantly vanished the second she saw her reflection.

”What? Pardon me?” she couldn’t believe her bum had disappeared.

Despite twisting, turning and trying to pose with an arch, Cristina’s dream of a big booty did not come true.

Mortified, she jumped into a silver pair of the same style jeans in the next size up – however, with no luck.

”What? What…? What the f*ck is this?” she exclaimed in horror.

”Going back to therapy,” the shopper wrote in the caption.

Uploaded on TikTok less than 24 hours ago, the clip has gone viral, racking up over a whopping 22million views.

More than 12k people flocked to comments, where many quickly slammed Zara for their shocking sizing.

”Zara jeans are the worst. For me they’re so tight around my legs but then when it come to my waist there’s like a massive gap,” one style fan said.

Another demanded action: ”We need to collectively talk about the fact that Zara pants have the worst fit. CALL THEM OUT !”

Someone else thought: ”the pockets are such bad placement.”

”Those jeans are literally designed to create a straight thin look why are y’all surprised?” a fashionista hit back at all the critics.

”I can’t fit into Zara clothes unless I get a xxxxxxxxxxxxxl. I’m a UK 14/US 10. I’m now grateful they don’t fit me,” a UK shopper joked.
