Link is back for another adventure in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The long-running Nintendo favourite returns with the open world of Hyrule under threat by the villain Ganon.

The game has been released to widespread acclaim from critics and gamers alike – breaking records on Opencritic and Metacritic – and some elements of the gameplay in particular are being celebrated.

Of the many features being praised, the return of the shrines are one. Shrines were introduced in 2017’s Zelda: Breath of the Wild and they are, in effect, miniature dungeons filled with puzzles.

Where are all the shrines in the new Zelda game?

How to find the shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

When it comes to zoning in on Zelda’s shrines, there isn’t really a specific art. It’s more just a case of exploring and knowing what to look out for.

The most obvious way to look for a shrine is to, well, look for a shrine. Walk about the map looking for a glowing green spiral – the tell-tale beams of light which emit from a shrine.

However, a nifty way of scoping out the map a bit easier is to do so from a better vantage point. Climb up to a high place – or land on the top of one of the towers– and just scope around the area with your Purah Pad binoculars (accessed by clicking the right stick).

Also, it’s important to note that not every shrine is going to announce itself as one. Just like in 2017’s Breath of the Wild, there are shrine quests that challenge you to a series of tasks on the overworld with the final result being the entrance to a shrine.

So, be alert and shrine on.
