Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield returned for another instalment of This Morning following claims of a ‘friendship feud.’

Tuesday’s edition of the ITV daytime show kicked off with the duo introducing today’s schedule and Holly even showed off her floral dress in celebration of the sunny weather.

Similar to yesterday’s broadcast, the hosts later sat down with TV personality Matthew Wright to talk about the trending news stories of the day.

Reports of a falling out between Holly, 42, and Phillip, 61, first transpired last week, with insiders claiming that the pair are not on good terms behind-the-scenes, amid a dwindling relationship.

According to reports, Phillip has become ‘increasingly withdrawn’ following the speculation.

A source told the Mirror ‘[He is] almost a shell of himself. He seems down and spends a lot of time in his dressing room. We’re worried about him.’

Phil, however, appeared to downplay rumours of a feud and he heaped praise on Holly in a statement shared with The Sun last week.

‘As I have said before, Holly is my rock,’ he said. ‘We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.

‘Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her.

‘The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us.’

Phil’s statement was then said to have ‘blindsided’ Holly, who wasn’t aware he was going to speak on their friendship.

They first fronted the popular show together in 2009 and have gone on to become one of British TV’s most loved duos.
