Holly Willoughby has reportedly considered leaving This Morning amid her rumoured ‘fallout’ with Phillip Schofield.

Insiders have claimed the Wylde Moon founder, 41, and Phil, 62, are ‘barely speaking’ behind-the-scenes of the ITV daytime show and that their friendship has ‘cooled.’

While Phil has insisted the pair are ‘the best of friends’ and called Holly his ‘rock’, his Dancing On Ice co-star has yet to quash the rumours.

It has now been alleged that Holly has contemplated quitting This Morning as she is struggling to cope with the situation.

An insider claimed that she feels ‘trapped’ because she loves the job and doesn’t want to leave.

But they told The Mirror she feels that ‘by removing herself from the situation she could protect herself better.’

The duo put on a united front when they presented Monday’s This Morning and did not address the rumours of a rift.

However, according to reports, Phil has become ‘increasingly withdrawn’ following the speculation.

A source told the Mirror: ‘[He is] almost a shell of himself. He seems down and spends a lot of time in his dressing room. We’re worried about him.’
