Bargain hunter Donna Marie spotted the cheaper alternative to the popular sandal when she was shopping in her local Aldi.
Donna made sure to nab a pair of the Birkenstock dupes and proudly took to Facebook to show off her purchase, leaving many stunned.
Posting in the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, which has 2.2million members, the thrilled shopper shared a picture of her latest find.
She said: “A little bargain.
“I’ve picked up Birkenstock dupes, real leather [from] Aldi, £8.99.
“They have blue and black and [it’s] such soft leather.”
Donna shared two pictures of her brand new purchase – the ladies footbed sandals, which she bought in a size 5.
For just £8.99, this dupe pair are a whopping £56.01 cheaper than the real deal.
Not only do they look almost identical, but they’re real leather too.
The thrilled Aldi fan later noted: “I love them.
