I’m a size 18 and picked up party dress from ASOS – I look like a ballerina and not in a good way, it’s so unflattering

A PLUS-SIZED fashionista joked she’s been left looking like a ballerina while looking for the perfect party dress.

Rachel Spicer, from Falkirk, regularly shares her shopping hauls and outfit picks with her 2.3million followers on TikTok (@rachelspicer_).

In a recent video, the 25-year-old revealed she’s trying to find a spring frock for her cousin’s 21st.

Previous ASOS hauls have already proved a huge failure with Rachel left frustrated by the sizing.

The size 18 influencer, from Falkirk, joked she was left looking like a “stuffed sausage” in some of the dresses.

And despite having high hopes for an £85 ASOS Curve organza mini dress, her latest frock option was also a disappointment.

Trying it on for the camera, Rachel fumed: “What was I thinking?”

She added: “I was thinking wow mesh is all cool and trendy and everyone else wears it, so it will definitely suit me. Wrong.

“I feel a bit like a ballerina, a plié, and a plié. It genuinely is like a little tutu.”

As well as the overall style of the dress, Rachel was not impressed by the fit – insisting it made her look pregnant.

She said: “I wish I had a skinny waist and this looked really good on me.

“But I don’t, I am a brick. I have no shape. I’ma  straight line head to heel.

“There’s not even any junk in the trunk to make it look good.

“This waistline that goes down here definitely is not flattering, I look pregnant.

“I got it because I loved the colours. The colours are really nice. I feel all cute and girly, let’s try that but no.

“It’s not flattering is it?”

Rachel’s try on clip has racked up more than 683,000 views.

And it’s left social media users divided.

One said: “I spat my drink out, just wasn’t expecting that.

“It’s kinda pretty but I think it’s one of those dresses a very, very tiny amount of people could pull off.”

A second wrote: “That’s something else”, accompanied by laughing emojis.

But a third insisted: “I actually think the first dress looked really cute on you. The sleeves ruin the dress though.”
